The Waterloo Wolves Major Midget AAA Hockey Team is looking for a volunteer Backup Trainer to work with the team in the absence of the Head Trainer.
The team plays all home games at RIM Park on Piller’s Ice Haus. Parking is free. There is a dedicated dressing room, trainer’s table, storage areas for medical supplies and for the team apparel. There is a budget for medical supplies.
The Backup Trainer must have at least Hockey Trainer Certification Level II (First Aid, CPR with AED). Knowledge of athletic taping is an asset.
The Backup Trainer may be called upon throughout the season. We will endeavour to give the Backup as much advanced notice as possible. In September this will include:
September 20 to 23 : Toronto Titans Pre Season Tournament
September 25 : practice at RIM Park (5pm to 7pm)
September 27 : practice at RIM Park (6pm to 7:30pm)
September 28 to 30 : Alliance Showcase Weekend in Brantford (schedule posted online)
The Backup Trainer will also be required to travel with the team to Moncton, New Brunswick. We anticipate departing November 13 and returning November 19. Costs for the Backup Trainer’s transportation, accommodation and meals during this trip will be covered by the team.
